I've just realized that I might be on the right track with life and everything. I love baking muffins in the middle of the night, pairing thyme and bacon in a hot sizzling pan more often than it’s allowed, chopping onion, crying my eyes out and then doing it again without a second thought. And, I must admit I’m a bit mad about tweaking the recipes I work with – fortunately, I nail them most of the time! I like to believe spending hours in the kitchen and not getting bored might be a glimpse of the path that lies ahead. Since it really gives me joy, I’ll just go with the flow! Writing is a big part of it, so stay tuned!
Well, I love to eat! I guess I always did. Tasty foods, traditional foods, fast-foods, healthy foods and, again, not so healthy ones. You name it. However, in time I kind of built on this habit and, slowly but surely, I began to turn toward the Mediterranean cuisine and, occasionally, even the Mediterranean diet. I am a curious and inquisitive person. So, pretty soon, I started trying to recreate what I’ve tasted or seen. At first, this proved to be hard work for my better half, as she supervised my new experiments. But lately, results really started to show, so wish me luck!

I’m Raluca and I just peeled a peach before eating it, and I swear it tasted like the nectar of the gods. When it comes to cooking, I only have one rule: do whatever it takes to turn the whole thing into an enjoyable experience. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of cooking for sailors. Not because I loved food, but because I was madly in love with my godfather, who worked on a ship. But, as they say, love lasts three years, and I took a different path: I became a journalist who enjoys food, traveling, and hiking in nature. I usually cook for myself and my daughter, but my favorite meal is the one I'm having on a mountain peak, even if it's just a sandwich and a piece of chocolate.
I’m a pop culture nerd who thinks too much about fried bacon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and life, the Universe and everything. I love food and sometimes you can see that on my hips, but I don't care that much about that. What I do care more about is trying to eat healthier, even though I admit that I like to indulge in my food fantasies. I’m addicted to puns, so forgive me for that when you read my articles. I now know too much about nutrition to be fun to hang out with. So long and thanks for all the fish-based omega-3 fatty acids.
I guess I’ve always had a passion for cooking ever since I was a kid when I was mom’s little helper in the kitchen. Even though I wasn’t actually cooking, I was a picky eater, and I focused on bringing more flavor to her dishes, by adding extra herbs and spices I felt might enrich it. Time has passed, and I haven’t changed that much: I am now my girlfriend’s helper. I’m probably too lazy to cook myself as often as I’d wish, but I always come up with the nicest twists for recipes. I add or remove ingredients, and I feel like a “Master of Ideas.” I dubbed myself that, I admit it. Other than flavors, I’m quite into movies, TV series, sports competitions, hiking in nature, traveling, and learning about other things.
