We’re all in love with pumpkin, right? But when everyone is making pumpkin pie for various events, it can get a little bit tedious. How about trying to make some pumpkin pie alternatives? They have all of the flavors, but a fresh presentation!

I used to be a picky eater for a long time and now that I have defeated my bad food habits, I feel like trying all of the best things that are out there. I am looking for new and fresh and culinary adventures and getting out of my food comfort zone as much as possible. The past year has been quite a landmark for me as far as things I’ve tried for the first time.

Sure, I still have the favorites that I consume on the regular, but I’m all about other options right now. I simply love pumpkin pie and everything about it, the flavors and texture, I want to experiment even more. Especially since pumpkin is quite healthy! Here are some pumpkin pie alternatives for you.

4 pumpkin pie alternatives to try

1. Apple and pumpkin galette

The term “galette” describes a type of round, flat cake often served in France. The most famous one is the Galette du Rois (king’s cake) which is often served on the day of Epiphany. Using this as inspiration, we’ve made an autumn version of the galette, with apples and pumpkin as the main stars.

2. Cinnamon and pecan pumpkin bread

This sweet cinnamon pecan pumpkin bread has all the makings of becoming one of your favorite cold season desserts. Its soft, delicate texture and the way it brings together the flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg sure brought our attention to it. Plus, it has room for adding some delicious and crunchy pecans.

3. Butternut squash and coconut pie

If you’re on a dairy-free diet, try this butternut squash pie without fear. It’s made with coconut milk, which brings extra flavor to this delicious dessert. This is one of the great pumpkin pie alternatives because it’s related to that famous dessert, but it adds a fresh spin to it.

4. Pumpkin pie popsicle

Do you also enjoy ice cream in just about any season of the year? If so, you’re in the right place. To celebrate the cold season, we’ve made for you these delicious popsicles, with the fabulous pumpkin pie as the main flavor! Try it and it may become something to indulge in over and over. We know it’s like that for us!

I’m a pop culture nerd who thinks too much about fried bacon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and life, the Universe and everything. I love food and sometimes you can see that on my hips, but I don't care that much about that.
What I do care more about is trying to eat healthier, even though I admit that I like to indulge in my food fantasies. I’m addicted to puns, so forgive me for that when you read my articles. I now know too much about nutrition to be fun to hang out with. So long and thanks for all the fish-based omega-3 fatty acids.
