How to Make Aioli Sauce

This Spanish sauce is quick and easy to make. The flavors are incredible and the possibilities for pairing it with dishes are endless. After all, garlic goes great with almost everything, doesn’t it? But enough chit-chat, let’s learn how to make aioli sauce.

This sauce is one of the most amazing sauces I’ve ever had. It has wonderful garlic flavor and a smooth consistency you definitely need to try at home. Not to mention that aioli sauce goes great with a lot of dishes, from meats, fish, and veggies. You can also spread it on bread or use it in main course recipes. Your creativity is your only limit.

How to make aioli sauce in 6 easy steps

1.Gather your ingredients

You’ll need some garlic cloves, four or five, depending on the size of the cloves. Also, two egg yolks to bind the sauce, a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and one cup of extra virgin olive oil.

You will also need a hand mixer.

2. Prep the garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and then mash them in a garlic press. Add a bit of salt and blend it in.

3. Separate the eggs

Crack the eggs and separate the yolks and the egg whites over a bowl. Keep the egg whites for something tasty, like meringues.

4. Add garlic to yolks

Blend the crushed garlic into the bowl.

5. Mix in the olive oil

Pour the olive oil in the garlic and egg mixture bowl. Make sure to do it gradually and use the hand mixer at the same time to blend the oil in. A creamy sauce should form.

6. Add the lemon juice

Once the sauce is blended, add the lemon juice, while still using the hand mixer. The sauce should turn out smooth and have a consistency very similar to that of mayonnaise. It basically is a mayo with garlic, so basically more flavor for you!

Serve the sauce on a spread, with anything you like! I just love having it with simple fries on a day when comfort food is required.
