Ingredients Needed for Tzatziki
1 large cucumber
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons of fresh dill, chopped
2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons of salt
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
olive oil for garnishing
mint leaves for garnishing
How to Cook Tzatziki
- Place the cucumber on the work surface and cut off its ends, then peel it. Cut it in half, then longitudinally halve both halves of the cucumber.
- Scrape the seeds out using a teaspoon. Grate the 4 pieces of cucumber, add them to a strainer, and press the liquid out using a teaspoon.
- Transfer the grated cucumber to a bowl. Add the Greek yogurt, dill, red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice too. Season with the salt and some pepper. Mix all until even.
- Serve garnished with olive oil and mint leaves.
