Ingredients Needed for Gajar Ka Halwa

1 ½ cups of milk
3 medium carrots, grated
2 tablespoons of sugar
½ cup condensed milk
1 ounce butter
2 teaspoons of cardamom powder
3 ounces of almonds, crumbled

How to Make Gajar Ka Halwa

  1. Add the milk and carrots in a saucepan over low heat. Cook and stir until soft. When the milk starts bubbling turn the heat lower and simmer.
  2. Add the sugar, condensed milk, and butter while stirring. Add the cardamom, stir, then cook for 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Spread the crumbled almonds on its bottom, then layer the carrot mixture. Gently press it to make it even. Refrigerate for 5 hours.
  4. You can serve it cut into forms and garnished with more almonds.
