Kielbasa, also known as the Polish sausage, can be cooked to perfection as the star of this casserole. First you fry it, then you bathe it in egg wash and cook it in the oven with mozzarella. It is going to be crunchy on the outside and very flavorful on the inside. It’s perfect if you want to make dinner for two.

Ingredients Needed for Kielbasa and Mozzarella Casserole

3 eggs
salt
pepper
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
2 kielbasas
1 teaspoon chives
3 ounces of mozzarella

How to Make Kielbasa and Mozzarella Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F/180 degrees C.
  2. Crack the eggs over a large bowl and whisk them with salt and pepper. Add the milk in order to make egg wash.
  3. Heat the oil in a cast-iron skillet to a medium high temperature.
  4. Add the kielbasa to the skillet and cook on both sides, until crunchy.
  5. Slice the kielbasa.
  6. Put the slices of kielbasa in an oven ceramic tray, with egg wash and mozzarella.
  7. Sprinkle chives over the tray.
  8. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes.
