Fried Bocconcini Balls

When you’re planning a party and you’re not sure about the menu, you need an idea to impress your guests. How about you use bocconcini mozzarella, a semi-soft cheese usually served with tomato and basil. We coated it in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, and then we deep fried it! Your friends will swoon!

Ingredients Needed for Fried Bocconcini Balls

    5 bocconcinis, 4 ounces
    ½ cup flour
    ½ cup breadcrumbs
    ½ cup egg wash
    vegetable oil for frying
    1 tomato
    1 cucumber

How to Make Fried Bocconcini Balls

  1. Coat the mozzarella with flour, egg wash, and breadcrumbs in that order.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the mozzarella balls, for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Take them out of the skillet once they are golden and crispy.
  4. Serve with balsamic vinegar on a bed of tomatoes and cucumbers.
