Crispy Fried Squid with Salad

3.5 ounces of fresh squid , sliced
1 cup flour
cayenne pepper
vegetable oil
4 lemons wedges
4 ounces of salad mix

You must try these crispy fried squid snacks, not just because they are so quick to make, but because of the smooth texture of seafood pairs so well with the crispiness from frying in a batter. Serve them on a bed of salad mix, with lemon wedges or with a dip of your choice.




Place the squid between paper towels and press gently to absorb some of its moisture.


Add the flour to a bowl. Add cayenne pepper and some salt and mix. Coat the squid pieces with this mixture. Make sure you remove the excess flour by sifting the squid rings.


Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat, then deep-fry the squid rings until they turn golden brown and crunchy (about 3 minutes).


Serve the squid rings on a bed of salad mix, with some lemon wedges.

Well, I love to eat! I guess I always did. Tasty foods, traditional foods, fast-foods, healthy foods and, again, not so healthy ones. You name it. However, in time I kind of built on this habit and, slowly but surely, I began to turn toward the Mediterranean cuisine and, occasionally, even the Mediterranean diet. I am a curious and inquisitive person. So, pretty soon, I started trying to recreate what I’ve tasted or seen.
