Halloween is minutes away and you have nothing to serve your trick-or-treaters? Here is a simple, easy to make bite, sweet and sour, just perfect to make. And it is something you can make at home. You can use plums, apples, make these candies and wrap them!

Ingredients Needed for Apple and Plum Jelly Candies

1 pound plums
3 apples
1 cup water
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar

How to Make Apple and Plum Jelly Candies

  1. Cut the plums into halves and remove their pit.
  2. Cut the apples into halves and remove their pit. Cut them into small dices.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium and add the fruit in it.
  4. Pour the water, cover with a lid and simmer for 25 minutes, reducing the heat to low.
  5. Remove the lid and season with salt and sugar.
  6. Cover with a lid and simmer for 30 more minutes.
  7. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the fruit mixture, evenly spreading it.
  8. Slide the tray into the oven and bake it for the next 7 hours at 120 degrees F/50 degrees C.
  9. Start rolling the jelly from one of the ends towards the opposite end.
  10. Cut the jelly into 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick candies.
  11. Coat the jelly candies with sugar.
  12. You can even wrap them in candy wraps.
