Ingredients Needed for Quinoa Crusted Leek Pie

1 cup quinoa
½ cup almond flour
1 teaspoon cornstarch
pink himalayan salt
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1 egg
1 leek, green and pale green parts only
1 teaspoon thyme
2 garlic cloves, crushed
pepper
2 egg whites
¼ cup parmesan, shredded
1 tomato, sliced

How to Make Quinoa Crusted Leek Pie

  1. Preheat the oven to 360°F/180°C.
  2. Add the quinoa in a glass baking dish and slide it into the oven for the next 20 minutes. Don’t turn off the heat after it’s ready.
  3. Add half of it in a blender and blend it until smooth. Mix the 2 types of quinoa in a large bowl. Add the almond flour, cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 egg.
  4. Mix everything with a wooden spatula.
  5. Add the quinoa in a glass baking dish and press it well on the bottom and sides. You should obtain a thick layer of quinoa, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick. Slide it into the oven for the next 20 minutes. Don’t turn off the oven.
  6. Heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the leek, thyme, garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Cook everything for 3 minutes.
  7. Add the leek in a large bowl. Mix it with egg whites with shredded parmesan.
  8. Add the mixture to the roasted quinoa. Evenly lay the tomato slices. Slide the tray into the oven for the next 20 minutes.

  • Stewing the apple and the rice:
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet, then add the apple, dried cranberries, and rice.
  • Cook and stir until the apple dices start changing color.

  1. Preheat the oven to 360°F/180°C.
  2. Thinly slice the carrots, and all of the bell peppers.
  3. Cover a wooden board with foil and spread the first sheet of dough. Glaze the sides of the dough with some whisked egg. Top it with prosciutto and mozzarella and leave it aside.
  4. Now take the second sheet of dough and place it on a wooden board. Slice it crosswise into 12 long strips, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick. Take the top strip and place it on the left side of the sheet so it can keep the remaining ones together.
  5. Now take strip 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 and pull them towards the left side. Add a layer of green bell peppers, and pull back the strips towards the right. Pull remaining strips towards left and add a layer of red bell peppers. Pull the strips back to the right.

9 ounces of minced meat

How to Make Simple Meat Pie

  1. Preheat the oven to 365 degrees F/185 degrees C.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet.
  3. Add the minced meat and season it with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the meat until it becomes brown.
  5. Flour your workplace. Use a rolling pin to stretch the dough.
  6. Cut a round shape dough sheet and put it on the bottom of a round pie pan (10 inch/25 cm diameter).
  7. Put the cooked minced meat in the pie pan.
  8. Stretch the remaining dough and cut 0.4 inch/1 cm width strips.
  9. Then place 4-5 strips length-wise across the pie. Next, one-by-one, add 4-5 strips in other direction (e.g. perpendicular).
  10. Roll in the dough edges.
  11. Make the egg wash by whisking the egg and the milk.
  12. Coat the pie with egg wash.
  13. If you want, sprinkle some sesame and black cumin seeds.
  14. Bake the pie for 25 minutes.
