Ingredients Needed for Classic Hummus With Toasted Pine Nuts

10 ounces of canned chickpeas
1 teaspoon sumac
salt
1 tablespoon tahini
2 tablespoons of olive oil
½ lime
2 tablespoons of pine nuts
2 tortilla wraps

How to Make Classic Hummus With Toasted Pine Nuts

  1. Place the canned chickpeas in a large bowl.
  2. Season with salt and sumac. Add the tahini, olive oil, and pine nuts. Squeeze the juice out of 1 lime.
  3. Mix everything and blend until you obtain a smooth paste.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the pine nuts. Add a pinch of salt and toast them for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Use them to top the hummus.
  6. If you want, you can also heat the tortilla before serving the hummus for a bit of extra crispiness.

Ingredients Needed for Cabbage and Bacon Stir-Fry

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
3 slices of bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
7 ounces of cabbage, shredded
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon peppercorn
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon paprika powder
½ cup tomato sauce

How to Make Cabbage and Bacon Stir-Fry

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped bacon and cook it for 2 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  3. Separately, heat the remaining oil in another skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, and cook them for around 2 minutes.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage, bay leaves, thyme, and a few peppercorns. Give it a good stir, season it with paprika powder, and pour the tomato sauce. Stir and cook everything for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the fried bacon, and cook everything for 1-2 more minutes.

1 celery stalk, thinly sliced

2 cups of chicken stock
3 ounces of dried pasta
4 ounces of chicken breast, cooked
salt
pepper
parsley

How to Make Chicken, Pasta and Celery Soup

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the carrots, celery, and cook them for 5 minutes.
  3. Season with thyme, and pour the chicken stock. Add the pasta and bring everything to a boil.
  4. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for the next 10 minutes.
  5. Thinly slice the chicken, and add it into the soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Keep it on heat for 2 more minutes.
  7. Serve it with a touch of parsley on top!

Ingredients Needed for Cocoa and Coconut Sweet Breads


For the dough:

1 ½ cups of flour
6 eggs
⅔ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder

For the glaze:

2 cups of milk
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
coconut flakes

How to Make Cocoa and Coconut Sweet Breads

  1. Preheat the oven to 360°F/180°C.
  2. Add the flour, sugar, and baking powder into the mixer bowl.
  3. Crack the eggs and over the flour. Set your mixer over medium speed, and mix it for 4-5 minutes, until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
  4. Pour the mixture into a round cake tin, approximately 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter.
  5. Slide the tray into the oven and bake it for 40 minutes.
  6. Separately, heat the milk in a saucepan over low heat. Add the sugar and whisk to dissolve it. While on heat, take out some of the milk (around 1/4 cup) and place it in a small bowl. Add the cocoa powder over it and whisk. Drop it in the rest of the milk and whisk. Leave it on heat for 1-2 more minutes.
  7. Remove the cake out of the tin, and slice it into thick dices, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
  8. Soak the dough cubes into the cocoa milk, for 1-2 minutes, making sure they are fully covered by it.
  9. When they’re ready, coat them with the multi-colored coconut flakes, according to your preferences.
