Ingredients Needed for Vegetarian Oat Burger


For the burger patty:

1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 potato, diced
½ cup baby carrot
½ cup frozen green peas
½ cup sweet corn
½ red bell pepper
½ cup steel cut oats
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon coriander seeds
½ teaspoon turmeric
2 garlic cloves
ginger
salt
pepper

For the burgers:

4 bread rolls
1 ounce baby spinach
1 ounce lettuce
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 cucumber
2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
1 ounce goat cheese

How to Make Vegetarian Oat Burger

  1. You can start with making the veggie patties.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potato, baby carrot, and peas. Cook them for 10 minutes. Add the sweet corn, bell pepper, and continue to cook for 2 more minutes.
  3. Pour the veggie mix into a large blender. Add the oats. Season with garam masala, coriander seeds, turmeric, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth, then shape 4 veggie patties.
  4. Next, heat a skillet over medium heat, and add a small drizzle of oil. Add the veggie patties and cook them until browned on both sides.
  5. Now start assembling the burgers. Slice the bread rolls through the middle and top the bottom half with baby spinach, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mayo, goat cheese etc.
