Sugar-Glazed Cocoa Sponge Cake

Sweet, tender and with hints of butter and cocoa, this sponge cake is definitely worth a try. You can make it in about an hour, and you don’t need too many ingredients. That’s why it’s a good choice for entertaining unexpected guests. It might seem too simple, and that’s why we’ve made a delicious icing for it, using powdered milk, powdered sugar, and a light touch of butter.

I guess I’ve always had a passion for cooking ever since I was a kid when I was mom’s little helper in the kitchen. Even though I wasn’t actually cooking, I was a picky eater, and I focused on bringing more flavor to her dishes, by adding extra herbs and spices I felt might enrich it. Time has passed, and I haven’t changed that much: I am now my girlfriend’s helper.
