Chicken Alfredo is an Italian-American dish quite popular in the U.S. And we don't see why not. It's a pasta dish with chicken, cooked in a savory butter and cream sauce. But today we were feeling a bit lazy and decided to cook the dish in the slow cooker. It may take a bit more time, but surely it's easier!

Ingredients Needed for Slow Cooked Chicken Alfredo

1 tablespoon butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken stock
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
salt
pepper
10 ounces of chicken breast
5 ounces of penne
½ cup parmesan, shredded
fresh parsley, chopped

How to Make Slow Cooked Chicken Alfredo

  1. Set up your slow cooker and the butter, heavy cream, and chicken stock.
  2. Season with garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken and cover the slow cooker with a lid.
  4. Cook for the next 2 hours on “high”.
  5. Lift the lid and add the penne and top with parmesan. Cook for 25 more minutes.
  6. You can serve the dish with some chopped parsley on top.
