Hot and Spicy Salmon Fillet

Do you have 25 spare minutes tonight? Because this is how much time you need to prepare this delicious and spicy salmon fillet. Put together your own spicy mixture by combining chili and paprika with cumin, coriander, and even some brown sugar. Then coat, rub and bake.

Ingredients Needed for Hot and Spicy Salmon Fillet


For the hot & spicy mixture:

1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried coriander
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
salt
pepper

For the salmon:

1 pound salmon fillets (2 fillets 8-ounce each)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
orange zest
2 fresh oregano sprigs
½ orange, wedged
1 tablespoon olive oil

How to Cook Hot and Spicy Salmon Fillet

  1. For the hot & spicy mixture:

    Add the brown sugar, dried coriander, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper to a smaller bowl. Mix all.

  2. For the salmon:

    Place the fillets on the work surface. Cover them on both sides with the spice mixture and rub.

  3. Transfer them to a skillet, drizzle them with the lemon juice, and sprinkle some orange zest.
  4. Add the fresh oregano and orange wedges, drizzle the olive oil, then bake for 15 minutes at 360⁰F/180⁰C.
