Baked Figs With Goat Cheese and Walnuts

We like to create unexpected flavor pairings, so we’re at it again with this exotic yet simple dessert. Combine salty goat cheese with sweet raw figs and slightly tangy walnuts. Bake them to really blend those flavors. Sweetness wins in the end when you serve them drizzled with honey.

Ingredients Needed for Baked Figs With Goat Cheese and Walnuts

6 figs
3 ounces of goat cheese
2 tablespoons of walnuts, crumbled
3 sage leaves, chopped
2 tablespoons of honey for serving

How to Cook Baked Figs With Goat Cheese and Walnuts

  1. Slice off the stem ends of each fig. Slice them cross-wise so that they open like flowers.
  2. Stuff each one with goat cheese and crumbled walnuts, season them with salt and pepper and add sage on top.
  3. Place them in a baking dish and bake them for 30 minutes at 360⁰F/180⁰C.
  4. Serve them drizzled with honey.
