1 ounce butter
5 ounces of smoked pork knuckle, diced
7 ounces of red cabbage, shredded
¼ cup red wine
2 tablespoons of sugar
How to Cook Braised Red Cabbage With Smoked Pork Knuckle
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook them for 2 minutes, until crispy.
- Separately, heat another skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and melt it. Add the pork knuckle and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
- Throw in the red cabbage, and season it with salt and pepper. Cook it for 3-4 minutes. Pour the red wine, add the sugar, and stir thoroughly. Put a lid on, and cook for 3 more minutes.
- Serve it next to the bacon slices that you’ve fried earlier on!
