Quattro Formaggi Bread Bowls

This recipe is for all die-hard cheese fans out there. Our inspiration was quattro formaggi pizza, but we wanted to turn it into a snack. That’s how we ended up using a classic bread roll and filling it with all the delicious cheese we could find. We’ve added gorgonzola, brie, mozzarella, and Cheddar. A perfect combo, we’re proud to say!

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • 2 bread rolls
  • 1 ounce (30 grams) gorgonzola
  • 1 ounce (30 grams) brie
  • 1 ounce (30 grams) fresh mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup (55 grams) Cheddar, shredded
  • Paprika powder
  • Preheat the oven to 340°F/170°C.
  • Add the egg and milk in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then whisk.
  • Place the bread rolls on a wooden board and slice off their tops. Remove the inner bread from the interior of the rolls.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place on it the bread rolls.
  • Add the gorgonzola, brie, mozzarella, shredded Cheddar inside each bread roll.
  • Pour the egg mixture into each bread roll.
  • Bake the bread bowls for the next 25 minutes!
