Waste not, want not. Right? For this recipe we use all the mushroom parts. We cook the stems in a skillet, mix them with cheese and stuff the mushrooms with them. The result is cheesy, but definitely tasty!

Ingredients Needed for Two-Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

8 mushrooms
2 garlic cloves
salt
pepper
3 ounces of cream cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
2 ounces of mozzarella, shredded
vegetable oil

How to Make Two-Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F/180 degrees C.
  2. Remove the stems of the mushrooms and chop them into little pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet to a medium high temperature.
  4. Add 2 garlic cloves and let them spread their flavor for a couple of minutes.
  5. Remove the garlic.
  6. Put the chopped mushrooms in the skillet, add salt and pepper, and cook them until they turn a golden brown color.
  7. Add the chopped mushrooms to a large bowl. Mix them with cream cheese and fresh parsley.
  8. Add a pinch of salt.
  9. Fill the mushrooms with the cheese, parsley, and mushroom stem mix.
  10. Top every mushroom off with shredded mozzarella.
  11. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.
