Ingredients Needed for Sweet Pork Chop Skillet

5 tablespoons of olive oil
1 red onion, julienne sliced
2 pears, thinly sliced
thyme
3 pork chops
½ cup chicken stock

How to Make Sweet Pork Chop Skillet

  1. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a skillet and place it on medium heat. Add the red onion, pear slices, and thyme. Cook until softened, for about 8 minutes, then move to a plate.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400˚F/200˚C.
  3. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet and lay the pork chops in it. Season them with salt and pepper. Sear until a golden crust forms, 3 minutes per side. Pour some chicken stock over the pork, simmer to reduce it a little, then add the pear-onion mixture. Stir, and move the cast-iron skillet to the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.
