How to Make Sugar-Glazed Coffee Biscuits
- For the dough, add the butter and flour to a large bowl.
- Use your hands and slowly mix until the mixture looks like crumbles. Add salt, baking powder, sugar, and mix again.
- Add the egg, maple syrup, heavy cream, and a bit of water to make the mixture a tad more liquid.
- Use your hands and mix until the liquid is absorbed, and then add the pecans.
- Add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/175 degrees C.
- Dust your working space with flour and place the dough in the middle. Level it with a rolling pin.
- Shape the dough into 4 inches (10 cm) long squares. Diagonally slice the squares into halves, creating triangles.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay the triangles on it.
- Slide the tray into the oven for the next 25 minutes.
- Add the powdered sugar to a large bowl. Add the milk, coffee, and maple syrup. Use a tablespoon and mix until smooth.
- Dip the biscuits in the coffee glaze and serve them with some crushed pistachios.
