Strawberry, Raspberry and Chocolate Loaf Parfait

A Valentine’s Day dessert can very easily be this wonderful parfait! Let the strawberries and raspberries soak in a mixture of sugar and Bourbon for half an hour. Meanwhile, prepare a smooth filling made of cream cheese and powdered sugar and cube a store-bought chocolate loaf. Assemble the parfait in a glass, by layering together the fruits and chocolate loaf cubes. Top with whipped cream!

Ingredients

3 ounces of strawberry
1 ounce raspberry
3 tablespoons of sugar
¼ cup bourbon
4 ounces of cream cheese
4 tablespoons of powdered sugar
7 ounces of store-bought chocolate loaf
7 ounces of whipped cream

Remove the stems from the strawberries and quarter them.

Add the strawberries and the raspberries to a bowl with the sugar and Bourbon and set them aside for 30 minutes.

Add the cream cheese and powdered sugar to another bowl and mix them until smooth. Set aside.

Cut the chocolate loaf into small pieces, 1-2 inches in size. Take two glasses and fill them halfway through with chocolate loaf pieces.

Add the strawberries and raspberries and top with the whipped cream. You can add the cream using a piping bag. Garnish with strawberry and chocolate loaf piece.

Well, I love to eat! I guess I always did. Tasty foods, traditional foods, fast-foods, healthy foods and, again, not so healthy ones. You name it. However, in time I kind of built on this habit and, slowly but surely, I began to turn toward the Mediterranean cuisine and, occasionally, even the Mediterranean diet. I am a curious and inquisitive person. So, pretty soon, I started trying to recreate what I’ve tasted or seen. At first, this proved to be hard work for my better half, as she supervised my new experiments. But lately, results really started to show, so wish me luck!
