Ingredients Needed for Spinach and Cheese Fried Sticks

1 spinach
4 ounces of cream cheese
2 ounces of mozzarella, shredded
1 egg
½ cup flour
½ cup breadcrumbs

How to Make Spinach and Cheese Fried Sticks

  1. Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet to a medium high temperature.
  2. Cook the spinach until it’s soft and has a darker color.
  3. Put the cooked spinach in a large bowl.
  4. Add the cream cheese. Mix the two together.
  5. Add the mozzarella and mix it in with a spoon.
  6. Coat a bowl with a sheet of parchment paper.
  7. Place the cheese in it in a square shape. Level it with a fork.
  8. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  9. Cut it in half and then in strips, by length.
  10. Make egg wash using an egg and some water.
  11. Dip the pieces of cheese and spinach in flour, egg wash, and breadcrumbs.
  12. Deep fry the pieces in a cast-iron skillet until golden.
  13. Serve with your favorite dip.
