Ingredients Needed for Spicy Roasted Lamb Shanks

2 lamb shanks s, approx. 1 pound each
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cinnamon
0.5 ounce ginger, chopped
½ green chili, thinly sliced
½ red chili, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt
pepper
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

How to Make Spicy Roasted Lamb Shanks

  1. Preheat the oven to 380°F/190°C.
  2. Take the meat out of the fridge and let it reach room temperature. Season the lamb with paprika, cumin seeds, garlic, oregano, cinnamon, ginger, and chilies. Add olive oil over the lamb shanks, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat, and sear it in the pan for about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Move the lamb shanks in a baking tray and roast them for the next 35 minutes.
