These spiced-up green beans may just be one of our favorite side dishes. They are very low in calories, but they’re flavorful and spicy at the same time. Also, they work very well with meats like chicken and beef.

Ingredients Needed for Spiced Up Green Beans

    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon chili flakes
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    10 ounces of flat green beans

How to Make Spiced Up Green Beans

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat, and add the salt, chili powder, chili flakes, and dried oregano. Stir, and toast them for 1 minute.
  2. Next, heat a saucepan over medium heat and fill it halfway with water. Add the green beans, bring the water to a boil and cook the green beans for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove them with a skimmer spatula and mix them with the toasted spices.
