This is a French classic recipe! You'll need sole fillets, which you'll dredge in flour and fry in vegetable oil. For the sauce, just melt some butter together with parsley, lemon juice, and capers. Serve garnished with lime wedges.

Ingredients Needed for Sole Meuniere With Capers


For the fish:

1 pound sole, fillets
salt
pepper
½ cup flour
vegetable oil

For the sauce:

3 tablespoons of butter
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of caper
2 limes wedges

How to Make Sole Meuniere With Capers

  1. Place the sole fillets between paper towels and press gently to absorb moisture. Season with salt and pepper and coat with flour.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the flour coated fillets for 3 minutes on each side. Set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat, add the parsley, lemon juice and stir a little. Add the capers, season with salt and pepper and cook and stir for 1 minute or so.
  4. Serve the fillets with some sauce on top and garnished with lime wedges.
