Inspired from the Hawaiian poke bowls, this recipe sure needs to be tested. We have replaced raw tuna with grilled octopus and shrimp and we must say… the result is delicious! Serve with avocado, mango, cucumber and red chili!

Ingredients Needed for Shrimp and Octopus Rice Bowl

1 octopus tentacle
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 shrimp
salt
½ lemon
1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
2.5 ounces of rice, cooked
½ avocado, thinly sliced
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 mango, diced
1 red chili
seaweed

How to Make Shrimp and Octopus Rice Bowl

  1. Grill the octopus tentacles for 3-4 minutes per side, until charred, and after it’s done, slice it.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the octopus and shrimp. Sprinkle salt and squeeze the juice out of half a lemon. Add both types of sesame seeds and cook everything for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the cooked rice in a large bowl. Put the seafood on top. Place the avocado, cucumber, and mango on the sides.
  4. Serve it with a red chili on top and a few seaweed sprigs.
