Scallops may seem a fancy ingredient, but it’s also an excellent health booster. They contain lots of nutrients, protecting you from cardiovascular diseases. Beside, scallops are delicate enough to be on your Valentine’s Day table! We’ve served them with herb butter, a bit of prosciutto and a touch of salmon roe.

Ingredients Needed for Scallops with Herb Butter and Prosciutto

1 ounce butter
1 shallot, chopped
salt
1 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
pepper
8 scallops
1 prosciutto slice, chopped
lemon zest
4 teaspoons of salmon roe

How to Cook Scallops with Herb Butter and Prosciutto

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the butter in and melt it.
  2. Add the chopped shallot, season with salt, and give it a good stir.
  3. Add the basil, parsley, and season with pepper. Leave the sauce for half a minute more, and turn off the heat.
  4. Lay the scallops in their shell and drizzle 1 teaspoon of sauce over each scallop. Shred some lemon zest and top with some prosciutto and salmon roe.
