Cooking salmon is probably nothing new to many of you. However, the beauty lies in the details. The coating can make all the difference in flavor. Here, for example, we used a mixture of Dijon mustard, garlic, and maple syrup. Oh, and we cooked everything in butter.

Ingredients

Steps

1
Done

Add the mustard, garlic powder, salt & pepper, and maple syrup in a smaller bowl and mix them using a teaspoon.

2
Done

Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat.

3
Done

Cook the salmon on both sides, taking care to also coat it with the mustard mixture with a kitchen brush. Cook it until golden brown or for 8-9 minutes in total.

4
Done

Serve the fillets garnished with salad and a lemon slice.

Well, I love to eat! I guess I always did. Tasty foods, traditional foods, fast-foods, healthy foods and, again, not so healthy ones. You name it. However, in time I kind of built on this habit and, slowly but surely, I began to turn toward the Mediterranean cuisine and, occasionally, even the Mediterranean diet. I am a curious and inquisitive person. So, pretty soon, I started trying to recreate what I’ve tasted or seen. At first, this proved to be hard work for my better half, as she supervised my new experiments. But lately, results really started to show, so wish me luck!
