The surprise ingredient in this omelet is definitely the pasta! We used tagliatelle, but you can replace them with spaghetti, penne or other pasta you prefer. Next, you’ll need some salami, bell pepper, and some butter. Why use butter? Because it will give the frittata a silky texture and a savory flavor that will make this dish your go to recipe for when you need a pick me up in the morning!

Ingredients Needed for Salami and Pasta Omelet

2 ounces of dried tagliatelle
6 salamis
2 ounces of butter
3 eggs
½ red bell pepper, chopped

How to Make Salami and Pasta Omelet

  1. Grab a scissor and cut the tagliatelle into small cuts. Add them in a saucepan full of simmering water and boil them according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the butter and melt it. Drop it into a bowl and use a thermometer to measure its heat. Let it cooldown to 70°F/35°C. Crack the eggs into a large bowl, add the melted butter and mix for 1 minute.
  3. Heat the skillet in which you’ve melted the butter once again, and add the salami slices and the cooked tagliatelle. Stir, and add the egg and butter mixture. Sprinkle bell pepper on top and put a lid on. Cook the omelet for 2-3 minutes.
  4. You can serve the omelet with cherry tomatoes and spring onion!
