Quinoa

Originating from Chile and Peru, quinoa is nowadays grown in many parts of the globe. It is often used in diets (including vegetarian) because it has a low amount of calories, despite being full of vitamins and minerals. It takes about 15 minutes to cook, and if you follow our instructions, it will be just perfect!

1 cup quinoa
2 cups of water
salt

Add the quinoa in a strainer and wash it with cold water.

Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add the water in it.

Bring it to a boil and add the quinoa. Season with a pinch of salt.

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook the quinoa for 15 minutes.

Remember: the water/quinoa ratio should be 2:1

I guess I’ve always had a passion for cooking ever since I was a kid when I was mom’s little helper in the kitchen.
