Ingredients

1 chocolate bar
1 puff pastry
1 tablespoon walnut
1 tablespoon pomegranate seed
1 whisked egg
1 tablespoon melted butter

Ingredients

Steps

1
Done

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/176 degrees C.

2
Done

Roll out the puff pastry on a flat surface. Put the chocolate bar in the middle. Use a knife to make diagonal cuts in the puff pastry around the chocolate. Remove the two first slices of the puff pastry. Do the same with the two slices from the bottom.

3
Done

Add on top of the chocolate the pomegranate seeds.

4
Done

Start to fold the puff pastry around the chocolate, like you’re doing a braid.

5
Done

After you’ve finished braiding the puff pastry, coat it with the whisked egg. Add the walnuts on top.

6
Done

Coat an oven dish with the melted butter and place the puff pastry chocolate.

7
Done

Bake for 20 minutes.

I've just realized that I might be on the right track with life and everything. I love baking muffins in the middle of the night, pairing thyme and bacon in a hot sizzling pan more often than it’s allowed, chopping onion, crying my eyes out and then doing it again without a second thought. And, I must admit I’m a bit mad about tweaking the recipes I work with – fortunately, I nail them most of the time! I like to believe spending hours in the kitchen and not getting bored might be a glimpse of the path that lies ahead. Since it really gives me joy, I’ll just go with the flow! Writing is a big part of it, so stay tuned!
