Ingredients Needed for Potatoes and Onion Gratin

    3 potatoes
    1 red onion
    2 tablespoons of olive oil
    1 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 garlic clove
    ½ cup heavy cream
    3 bay leaves
    2 ounces of parmesan

How to Make Potatoes and Onion Gratin

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F/220 degrees C.
  2. Slice the potatoes and cut rings of onion.
  3. Put the potato slices in a glass baking dish.
  4. Add the onion rings.
  5. Drizzle the onion with olive oil.
  6. Season it with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  7. Crush the garlic and put it on the potatoes.
  8. Combine all the ingredients with your hands.
  9. Add the heavy cream and spread it all over them.
  10. Add the bay leaves.
  11. Bake the dish for 15 minutes.
  12. Remove the dish from the oven.
  13. Grate some parmesan on it.
  14. Bake it for 5 more minutes.
  15. Before you eat it, you can sprinkle some fresh parsley.
