This bake is a mouthwatering idea for all pasta lovers out there! It brings together pasta and pork in a rich and hearty dish. Nevertheless this combo is so delicious thanks to a special add on: a thick sauce, made with heavy cream, mozzarella, and walnuts, that coats the pork.

Ingredients Needed for Pork and Pasta Bake

5 ounces of penne tricolore
½ cup heavy cream
3 teaspoons of breadcrumbs
4 ounces of mozzarella, shredded
4 walnuts
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 pork tenderloins
½ cup tomato sauce
thyme

How to Make Pork and Pasta Bake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/175 degrees C.
  2. Put water in a pan, add some salt, and bring it to a boil.
  3. Put the penne in the pan and cook according to package directions. Strain.
  4. Meanwhile, put heavy cream in a small bowl, add breadcrumbs, 1 ounce (30 grams) shredded mozzarella, and walnuts, then mix.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and lay in it the pork tenderloin steaks.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and fry each side for about 5 minutes each, until golden.
  7. Mix the tomato sauce with fresh thyme leaves.
  8. Put the cooked penne in a deep casserole pot, add the tomato sauce, the pork steaks, and top them with the heavy cream and walnuts mixture.
  9. Complete it with the remaining shredded mozzarella.
  10. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes.
  11. Serve warm! If you want, garnish with some more walnuts.
