Pigs in a blanket are a delicious snack that wraps sausages up in puff pastry and then bakes them in the oven. It’s a simple dish, that can be made with very little effort, and will surely satisfy guests when preparing large dinners. And their name is bound to turn some frowns upside down!

Ingredients Needed for Pigs in a Blanket

1 puff pastry sheet
10 sausages
1 egg
white sesame seeds
black sesame seeds

How to Make Pigs in a Blanket

  1. Preheat the oven to 360°F/180°C.
  2. Place the puff pastry sheet on a wooden board. Slice it in about 1/2 inch (1.2 cm) thick long strips.
  3. Grab one of the strips and wrap it around 1 sausage. Continue until you’ve used all of the ingredients.
  4. Crack the egg and whisk it. Spread the whisked egg over the wrapped sausages.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Lay the sausages on the tray.
  6. Slide the tray into the oven and roast the sausages for the next 25 minutes!
  7. You can serve them with ketchup or your favorite dip!
