Maybe pan-fried salmon and baked potatoes seem boring. And if you eat them often, they may actually be. That’s why sauces exist! A creamy and tasty sauce brings out the strong fish flavor every time. Today, we have a special one, with ginger and white wine. Don't spare the sauce and you’ll be pleased!

Ingredients Needed for Pan-Fried Salmon With Ginger and Butter Sauce

6 ounces of salmon fillet
2 tablespoons of flour
salt
pepper
vegetable oil for frying
2 tablespoons of butter
½ onion
¼ cup white wine
0.5 inch – ginger root
1 teaspoon aromatic herb, chopped
2 potatoes

How to Make Pan-Fried Salmon With Ginger and Butter Sauce

  1. Season the salmon with salt and pepper. Coat it with flour.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the salmon skin side down for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Turn the fish over and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  4. Heat another skillet and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  5. Dice the onion and add it in the skillet. Cook it for a few minutes, then add the white wine, and let it reduce by half.
  6. Peel and dice the ginger root and add it in the skillet.
  7. Add the aromatic herbs and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Wash the potatoes and pat them dry.
  9. Bake them in the microwave for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Place the fried salmon on a plate.
  11. Set aside the potatoes while they’re still hot. Cut them criss-cross and put the remaining tablespoon of butter on top, to melt.
  12. Complete the dish with ginger and butter sauce.
