Mini Calzones

Are you planning a small party? Well, how about serving your guests with these wonderful mini calzones? They’re deep fried, which makes them extra crispy, and filled with salami, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. It’s a perfect snack, quick and easy to cook, and for sure everybody will enjoy them!

Ingredients Needed for Mini Calzones

2 tablespoons of flour
12 ounces of store bought pizza dough
½ cup tomato sauce
10 salamis
10 bocconcinis
basil leaves
2 eggs, whisked
vegetable oil for frying

How to Cook Mini Calzones

  1. Spread flour on a wooden surface.
  2. Roll the dough until it is thin.
  3. Use cooking rings to make round shapes out of the dough. You will need about 20 of them to make 10 mini calzones.
  4. Take 10 of the round shaped dough and top them with the tomato sauce, 1 salami slice, 1 bocconcini, and 1 basil leaf.
  5. Brush each mini calzone with whisked eggs and close it with the remaining dough.
  6. Press it with a fork on the sides so you don’t lose any of the filling.
  7. When ready, deep fry them until golden.
  8. Serve the mini calzones with pizza sauce!
