Minced Meat and Pastry Casserole

If you have some leftovers in the kitchen, you can put together a wonderful casserole. You just need some ready-made dough, minced meat, and sausages. You lightly cook them, layer them in an oven tray and let the heat do the rest!

Ingredients Needed for Minced Meat and Pastry Casserole

vegetable oil for cooking
1 pound minced meat
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
½ cup tomato sauce
10 ounces of ready-made dough
2 ounces of butter
1 spring onion, chopped
2 tablespoons of parsley
1 teaspoon paprika powder
2 sausages

How to Cook Minced Meat and Pastry Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 365 degrees F/185 degrees C.
  2. Heat the oil in a cast-iron skillet to a medium high temperature.
  3. Add the minced meat in the skillet and cook it until it turns a brown color.
  4. Pour the Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce over the minced meat.
  5. Stir everything in the skillet.
  6. Sprinkle salt.
  7. Take a large bowl and cut the ready dough in pieces over it, using a pair of scissors.
  8. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  9. Pour the melted butter over the ready dough pieces.
  10. Add the chopped spring onion, parsley, paprika powder, and salt.
  11. Rub all the ingredients together.
  12. Coat the bottom of a saucepan with the mince mix.
  13. Cut the sausages in slices and spread them over the mince mix.
  14. Add the ready dough pieces covered in butter over the mince mix.
  15. Cook in the oven for 25 minutes.
