What if you’d just make the classical hot dog better? Much better? For once, use a crunchy-crusted demi-baguette. Then toss together diced bell peppers and avocado, sliced onion, cucumber, and radish. Mix in vinegar and mayo and voila! Your hot dog just got upgraded to Mediterranean style.

Ingredients Needed for Mediterranean Hot Dog

1 small red bell pepper, diced
1 small avocado, diced
1 small yellow bell pepper, diced
1 small red onion, sliced
½ small cucumber, sliced
1 radish, sliced
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 demi baguette, halved
2 cooked hot dog sausages
1 ounce feta cheese, crumbled (for serving)

How to Make Mediterranean Hot Dog

  1. Add the red bell pepper, avocado, yellow bell pepper, red onion, cucumber, and radish to a small bowl. Drizzle with white wine vinegar, season with salt and pepper, then mix until even.
  2. Add the mayonnaise and mix some more.
  3. Cut the demi-baguette horizontally in half. Add 1/2 of the veggie mixture, one hot dog sausage, and some crumbled feta cheese. Do the same for the other demi-baguette and the remaining ingredients.
