5 fresh basil leaves
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon chili flakes

greek yogurt for garnishing

How to Cook Lamb and Feta Pie

  1. For the lamb mince:

Add the lamb mince, onion, fresh parsley, garlic, allspice, salt, ginger, cumin, oregano, and paprika to a bowl. Season with pepper and mix until even using your hands.

  2. Assemble the pie:

Spray a 10-inch (24 cm) diameter round baking dish with olive oil. Layer 1/2 of the lamb mince mixture in the baking dish and press it gently to distribute evenly.

  3. Evenly spread the feta, add the fresh basil, parsley, and chili flakes. Layer the remaining lamb mince mixture and distribute evenly.
  4. Dust your work surface with flour and flatten the pie crust using a rolling pin.
  5. Trim it to make it perfectly circular using a knife and a bigger plate. Place it on top of the minced lamb mixture and poke some holes in it using a knife.
  6. Whisk the yolks in a smaller bowl and coat the pie crust using a brush. Bake for 40 minutes at 350⁰F/175⁰C.
  7. Serve the pie garnished with some Greek yogurt.
