This is truly a next-level sweet & salty combination. Match the sweet figs, glazed and cooked with honey, with the salty, fried bacon that also gets honey-glazed. Bring the blue cheese into the dish to tie everything together. Add some chili flakes and rosemary for extra spicy goodness.

  1. For the bacon: Fry the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat. Cook them on both sides until crispy. Coat the bacon with honey using a kitchen brush and add chili flakes to taste in the process.
  2. For the figs: Using the same skillet with the drippings from the bacon frying, turn the heat down to low, and add the rosemary sprigs.
  3. Keep adding the figs, honey, and water. Cover with a lid and cook for some 5 minutes.
  4. Serve the figs and bacon drizzled with the liquid from cooking. Garnish with the blue cheese.
