Homemade Romesco Sauce

Romesco is a red pepper and nut sauce, originating from the Spanish region of Catalonia. We have used almonds, garlic, a touch of sherry, paprika and cayenne pepper to add it a bit of spice. It is a sauce usually served with fish, but you can serve it with seafood and other meats also.
Ingredients Needed for Homemade Romesco Sauce
1 roasted bell pepper
¼ cup almonds
1 garlic clove
3 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt
pepper
½ cup olive oil
How to Make Homemade Romesco Sauce
- Set up your blender and add the roasted bell pepper.
- Add the almonds, garlic, tomato paste, sherry vinegar, water, and parsley.
- Season with paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Blend everything until smooth.
- Pour the olive oil and start blending.
- Blend until smooth and serve!
