Ham and Cheese Pastry Bites

Puff pastry is a versatile ingredient. If you have some in the freezer, you can solve everything! If you’re craving for something sweet, you just spread some chocolate on it and bake it. If you want a salty snack, all you have to do is to put some cheese and ham or bacon. The success is guaranteed!

Ingredients Needed for Ham and Cheese Pastry Bites

1 puff pastry sheet
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
8 hams slices
½ cup shredded mozzarella
1 tablespoon chives, chopped

How to Cook Ham and Cheese Pastry Bites

  1. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F/180 degrees C.
  2. Flour your workplace.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and make it thinner with a rolling pin.
  4. Cut rounds of puff pastry using a 2-inch diameter round cutter.
  5. Whisk the egg and mix it with the milk to make egg wash.
  6. Coat the puff pastry rounds with egg wash using a silicone brush.
  7. Cut smaller pieces of ham.
  8. On half of the puff pastry rounds, put equal quantities of bacon, mozzarella, and chives.
  9. Top them with the remaining puff pastry rounds.
  10. Fix their edges with a fork.
  11. Put a parchment paper on a baking tray.
  12. Place the pastries on the tray and coat them with egg wash.
  13. Bake them for 20 minutes.
  14. Serve with a dip!
