Be ready for a paragon of fast and simple cooking. In fact, the “meuniere” part of the name amounts to this same idea within French cooking. We do this here with halibut. Further, enrich the taste of fried fish by serving it with lemon and parsley. Got 10 minutes?

Ingredients Needed for Halibut Meuniere

12 ounces of halibut fillet (cut into 2 pieces)
salt
pepper
½ cup flour
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
fresh parsley, chopped (for garnishing)
lemon wedges for serving

How to Cook Halibut Meuniere

  1. Place the two fillet pieces on the work surface between 2 paper towels. Carefully pat them dry.
  2. Rub them with salt and pepper, then coat them with flour
  3. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the fish on both sides until golden brown.
  4. Serve drizzled with some lemon juice and garnished with parsley. You can add some lemon wedges on the plate, too.
