Some people may really be into hot peppers. This hot dog is for them. Just add not only red and green chilis but also put in a habanero pepper if you’re serious about this. Besides the actual hot dog sausage, add some salty fried bacon. Serve with mustard.

Ingredients Needed for Habanero and Bacon Hot Dog

2 slices bacon
1 small red onion, sliced
1 green chili, sliced
1 red chili, chopped
1 small spring onion, chopped
1 habañero chilli, sliced
salt
pepper
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
2 bread rolls
2 cooked hot dog sausages
mustard for serving

How to Make Habanero and Bacon Hot Dog

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bacon strips. Fry on both sides until crispy. Set aside.
  2. Add the red onion, green and red chili, spring onion, habanero, olive oil, and white wine vinegar to a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix until smooth.
  3. Horizontally cut one bread roll in half. Add 1/2 of the hot mixture, crumble some fried bacon on top, and add the hot dog. Garnish with mustard. Do the same for the other bread roll and the remaining ingredients.
