Grapes are a great snack, they also give us the gift of wine, but there’s another thing you can make with them that will make you life just a little bit tastier. This grape jelly is easy to prepare and when you serve it with coconut flakes, you’ll have a light and delicious dessert on your table.

Ingredients Needed for Grape Jelly


For the grape juice:

12 ounces of red grapes
4 cups of water

For the cornstarch mixture:

4 tablespoons of cornstarch
½ cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
coconut flakes for garnishing
mint for garnishing

How to Make Grape Jelly

  1. For the grape juice:
    Add the grapes and water into a pot and bring to a boil. Stir in the process. Set aside for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Strain the grape mixture into a bowl. Discard the pulp and skin.
  3. For the cornstarch mixture:
    Add the cornstarch and sugar to a bowl and start mixing using a whisk. As you mix, gradually add the water. Add the vanilla extract and mix a little more.
  4. Transfer to a pot over low heat, add the grape juice and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve in glasses with a stem, garnished with coconut flakes and mint leaves.
