Fried Halibut on Lettuce Salad

Halibut is the largest flat fish, commonly caught in deep waters. It has a firm, meaty texture, and it’s worth try it if you find it at your local fish market. We’ve coated it with flour, fried it, and served it with a fresh lettuce salad, and a light yogurt dressing.

Ingredients Needed for Fried Halibut on Lettuce Salad

    2 halibuts fillets, approximately 6 ounces each
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    ½ cup flour
    3 tablespoons of yogurt
    1 tablespoon whole grain dijon mustard
    dill, chopped
    2 tablespoons of lemon juice
    1 lettuce head
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    ½ lemon
    salt
    pepper

How to Make Fried Halibut on Lettuce Salad

  1. First coat the fish fillets with flour.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the fillets and cook them until golden on both sides.
  4. Add the yogurt in a bowl. Add the Dijon mustard, dill, and pour the lemon juice.
  5. Add the lettuce in a salad bowl, season it with salt, pepper, olive oil, and the lemon juice.
  6. Place the salad on a large plate, serving as a bed to lay the halibut on it.
  7. Top the fish with the yogurt dressing and serve!
