But after that, cook them further with spiced potato slices, spring onion, and a halved lemon, which will bring out the flavor in the fish meat.

½ cup flour
7 ounces of cod fillet
vegetable oil
1 potato, sliced
chili powder
salt
pepper
3 spring onions
1 lemon, halved

How to Make Fried Cod With Roasted Chili Potatoes

  1. Add the flour to a plate and coat the fillets with it on both sides.
  2. Heat some vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the fillets and the potato slices, and sprinkle the latter with chili powder. Cook the fish on both sides until golden brown. Also, cook the potato slices on both sides making sure to sprinkle chili powder on both sides as you cook them.
  3. After you flip over the fish and potato slices, add the spring onions and the two lemon halves, cut-side down into the skillet. Cook them just a little as they turn golden brown.
