Ingredients

7 ounces of ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
salt
pepper
5 ounces of mozzarella
½ cup flour
2 eggs, whisked
½ cup breadcrumbs
vegetable oil for frying

Ingredients

Steps

1
Done

Crack the eggs and whisk them.

2
Done

Place the ground beef in a large bowl. Season it with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix it using your hands.

3
Done

Break small chunks out of the mozzarella and roll them in your hands. Shape them long and thin, slightly thicker than your fingers.

4
Done

Coat the mozzarella sticks with the beef mixture. Don’t make the meat layer too thick, about 1/3 inch (0.8 cm) thick should be enough.

5
Done

Coat the meat sticks with flour, whisked egg, and breadcrumbs.

6
Done

Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the sticks and deep fry them for about 2-3 minutes, until golden and crispy.

7
Done

Serve them with your favorite dip!

I guess I’ve always had a passion for cooking ever since I was a kid when I was mom’s little helper in the kitchen. Even though I wasn’t actually cooking, I was a picky eater, and I focused on bringing more flavor to her dishes, by adding extra herbs and spices I felt might enrich it. Time has passed, and I haven’t changed that much: I am now my girlfriend’s helper.
