How do you want to spoil your kids this weekend? And no, McDonald's is not an option! Make them these wonderful banana pops, with a nice layer of chocolate on top. They work very well with some strawberries or forest fruit, preferably fresh! You can also give them a better look by adding some chocolate sprinkles into the mix.

Ingredients Needed for Chocolate Covered Banana Pops

3.5 ounces of dark chocolate
5 bananas
10 strawberries
colored sprinkles

How to Make Chocolate Covered Banana Pops

  1. Fill a saucepan halfway with water and place it over medium heat. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Place a heatproof bowl on top of it, and add the dark chocolate.
  3. Start melting it, while stirring with a spatula. When it melts, take the chocolate away from the heat.
  4. Slice the bananas in halves and soak them into the melted chocolate.
  5. Slide the bananas through wooden skewers along with the strawberries.
  6. Coat the chocolate-covered bananas with the colored sprinkles.
  7. Lay the bananas on parchment paper.
  8. Refrigerate for the next 30 minutes.
